This time: bleeding espresso
1) Please introduce yourself (Name, Location, Age, where do you come from)

I’m Michelle Fabio, 32 years old; I’m originally from the Anthracite Coal Region of Pennsylvania but for the last six years have made my home in Calabria, Italy, in the medieval town of my great-great-grandfather.
2) Which countries/cities have you lived in?
I lived in Philadelphia and small town Pennsylvania as well as in Durham, North Carolina in the United States before moving to Italy.
3) What is your blog about?
Bleeding Espresso is about my life in southern Italy; I write about my career (attorney turned freelance writer), Calabrian husband Paolo, two dogs, baby goat, and, of course, lots of recipes–Calabrian as well as American.
4) Why are you blogging? Do you have any goals with it?
I started out blogging to better keep in touch with family and friends and also for publicity for my freelance writing career; it has been successful for both, thankfully. My goals for the blog are to continue reaching as many people as possible to tell them about how wonderful living in and visiting Calabria can be. Calabria doesn’t have the best reputation among Italian regions, but for me, it’s my favorite.
5) Your favorite Italian meal?
Ooh that’s a tough one, but I think it’s actually pizza with tuna and onions. Or pasta with fresh tomatoes and basil. Now I’m hungry….
6) What is your favorite Italian song?
It’s a couple years old now, but “Sei nell’anima” by Gianna Giannini. Gorgeous!
7) Do you have recommended links concerning the subject of your blog or Italy in general?
I recommend ItalyMag.co.uk (full disclosure: I write for them) and also all the sites in my “links” section on Bleeding Espresso.
8) Anything to add?
Thanks so much for the opportunity to appear here and share my blog with more people; if anyone is heading down to Calabria, definitely be in touch!
